Officers from the department were called to investigate a shooting in the busy bay at the Minnesota Avenue Station at approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, May 1, officials say.
Police say that one man was struck during the shooting and he was transported to an area hospital for treatment of what were described as "non-life-threatening injuries."
No information about the victim or shooter has been released by the police as the investigation continues.
Bus service at the station is being located, officials noted, though there is no impact to commuters planning to ride the rail.
